Physical therapy helps to improve range of motion, strength, balance, coordination, motor planning, visual attention, and overall motor skill development. The goal is to help kids be able to explore their environment and move their bodies as efficiently as possible.
Our office treats children from birth until 18 for a variety of reasons. These include, but are not limited to bone/muscle issues, not reaching developmental milestones, sports related injuries, or genetic/brain/spine or nerve disorders.
Our physical therapy clinicians will work with your child weekly to learn new exercise but will also recommend items to do at home. These could include stretching, functional activities, seating and devices to assist. Standardized tests might be administered to measure and monitor improvement, as well as help build a plan.
